Vulnerability is sexy!

Often people apologise for being upset and showing vulnerability; I’ve done it myself when I was younger - thinking that people only expect strength. But when you reveal your insecurities and vulnerabilities to others they will often meet you in mutual reception whereby they strengthen and assist in supporting you in your hours of need. Genuinely nice people and good friends appreciate the realness of this, and it helps you to see who is meaningful in your life and who isn’t. Opening up yourself like this is like an opening up of the heart - two hearts open to receive and then give back with the side effect of understanding.

There will be times in everyone’s life when there is vulnerability - through grief, illness or suffering a crisis - there is no need to hide it. It’s part of being

human.
